We were seated by the owner who took an interest in our choice of her restaurant and gave us a little history of the place. One of us had the Tuesday night special, Chicken Pot Pie and the other had Taphouse Mac. The Pot Pie was every bit homemade. Sure, I know it wasn’t but it tasted like it. The Taphouse MAC, with grilled chicken breast, was so awesome. Served in a frying pan there was way more than a dinner portion. We shared the pot pie and Mac and came away stuffed.
Next time we’re traveling through the area and stay overnight here we’ll be back to The Mav!

Cozy restaurant with excellent food! My boss's and I were visiting Colorado on business and this restaurant was recommended by one of the store managers. Once we were inside, we fell in love with the aesthetic. The menu is a little small but the food is amazing! The staff was very friendly, even on a busy Friday night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We had a variety of items between the four if us. Pulled pork sandwich and a Boli were huge and really tasty. Sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. Lots of choices to pick from. Great service too. We will visit again next time we are in Ft. Morgan

Funny thing about the restaurant industry… the busier a restaurant is on any particular shift, the more money servers make in tips, whereas kitchen staff are simply required to work harder & faster for the same amount of money. Over time, in a busy restaurant such as ours, this contributes to a significant wage gap between front of house & back of house staff.
Effective in June 2020, we’ve added a 3% “Heart of House” fee to your check. This fee is retained by the company and distributed fairly and equally to the kitchen staff, so they too can benefit from being busy. We hope you agree that their dedication & efforts are worth this small charge.
